I started DJing in London in 1983. Till the mid-90s, I played across multiple genres. Then I became known for helping Jungle become established in America, first with NASA, & then producing some of the first US compilations & finally, with Dara, Breakbeat Science, which became ground zero for the scene in NYC.
This is my love letter to the dance genres that inspired me. An insane 42-hour eclectic mix of electronic music, that includes classics of House, Trip Hop, 2-Step, Hardcore, Leftfield, Dub, DNB/Jungle, Soul, Techno, Funk, Dancehall, Hyper Pop & even a touch of Kroutrock, Electro, Electroclash, New Wave, & Trance. The music ranges from the most obscure, dark & underground to uplifting pop & what some might even call cheesy.
I hope it brings you a rush of a dancefloor memory, and or possibly the thrill of discovery too.
